Elvis Presley SPD 23 Rarest RCA EP | eBay

Elvis Presley SPD 23 Rarest RCA EP eBay

Up for auction is Elvis Presley's rarest RCA Victor 7" EP set. For those who don't know the history on this gem here is a little summary.
7x7" cardboard triple gatefold cover contains three record 45 rpm set on the "RCA Victor" label. In 1956, RCA marketed two different models of an "Elvis Presley" Victrola record player. Buyers of the $32.95 model were given the double EP SPD-22 while the bonus for buyers of the higher priced $47.95 model were given this even more rare and desirable EP SPD-23
Other words this cover and the discs were only given away when you bought the highest end victrola player for what was then a lot of money. Because only a handful of people could afford the high end victrola, it in time, made this one of the rarest Elvis records/cover in exsistence on any label from any country.
Please see the oversized images that I have provided.
Cover-By Goldmines grading standards it is VG+. Please note that these pictures do not do much justice for this cover. Unfortunately these are the best i could do, these pictures make the cover look yellowish almost, that is not the case. Overall one of the nicest copies out there. The spine is 100% intact. No splits or wear on the spine. There are a couple very very small seam splits. (see pic) One on the bottom middle (about a quarter inch and very un-noticable, and one on the top. (about a quarter inch) Again see the pics. There is a slight crease in the upper right hand side of cover, but is not very noticable. The inside of the tri-folder is clean. There is a little foxing here and there, but for the most part still white. Many of these age to yellow over time, this is a beautiful example compared to the others I have seen. The pictures show both inside pages of the cover. There is no writing anywhere, overall a very very clean copy.
Vinyl-Sadly there are only two disc, not three. This is missing sides 2 and 5. I thought about buying one that is up for auction now for about $50 but it has a 3mm crack and decided not to. However this does come with side 1,3,4,6. All sides do have some background noise, but play through with no jumps, skips, and quite frankly, I did not mind the sound of a little background noise at all. It wasn't that bad. Please see the pictures for song listing. Labels have no writing.
Overall this is one of the nicest covers out there. These do not come up very often, because they are quite simply one of the rarest and most sought after Elvis records out there.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions before bidding. There is no reserve on this auction
