    Album notes
Larry Clark's film BULLY deals with violence among a group of teens, and the movie's soundtrack is accordingly filled with hardcore hip-hop that reflects BULLY's dark, murderous mood. While the likes of Ol' Dirty Bastard, Dilinger & Young Gotti, and Bizzy Bone apply their rap skills to appropriate evocations of gangsta/thug life, changes of pace are provided by alt-pop siren Zoe Poledouris ("Unloved"), Tricky (the menacing "Bury the Evidence"), and beatmaster Fatboy Slim (the epic, constantly shifting dance track "Song for Shelter"). To further link the soundtrack to its cinematic counterpart, excerpts of dialogue from the film are peppered throughout the disc, underscored by Sonic Youth mainman Thurston Moore's moody incidental music.
